I have been through the archives, but cannot find any reference to this. I have a '97 D1 with ABS and the Lucas/Girling master cylinder. I have the MC rebuild kit in hand, but cannot remove the secondary plunger assembly (the one with the spring). I noticed that there is a retainer pin that is accessed through a 3rd plugged outlet port on the bottom of the cyliner. The problem is, the plug is not hex or torx, but a five-sided pentagon-shaped hole. What is this? Or, simply, how do I get the secondary plunger out? I need advice. My www.alldatadiy.com info does not mention this pin or how to access it to get the plunger out. |
