Help with 99 D1 radio code

I first play around with the bottoms then I went to my local dealer. They gave me a 5-digit code for the radio and told me to just push this code in with the preset bottoms. No luck every time I try I just get a beep after the last digit. Can anyone help me out here? Thank you and happy holidays to all. Allen   Leslie N. BTDT.... If you can't get it to work in the AM, take the radio out and email me the serial # on the side of the radio. I'll get you the correct code.
