Ahoy hoy, I replaced the serpentine belt a couple of weeks ago and noticed the idler pulley is plastic. I read here prior to the job that the plastic one should be replaced with a steel one under a campaign. Now I have a leak near the edge of the radiator and after searching the board I read that this is also a known problem. My rover is still under warranty so I'm not worried, but what I'd like to get is a list of known problems/campaign issues so that when I take it in they can be taken care of all at once. Thanks & happy holidays, Woody Dunseith |

Plattic pulleys are crap and so are the radiators. But the big thing you need to watch out for is the crap front prop shaft. D2's come with non-serviceable u-joints and they are conviently located next to the cats. If you ever feel a vibe out of the front or think you feel a vibe, get it checked out. Warranty Fun on my Pig: Fuel Sending Unit at 20 someting K MAF at 30K front prop shaft and plastic pulley at 45K Long Block, radiator, and t-case at 46K It's been a PITA, but LR has honored the warranty. |

Pulleys, radiators, MAF (sluggish or trans adaption codes), general engine leaks, t-case leaks, front prop U-joint failure (look for rust on caps), seat base loose/out of adjustment, sunroof rattles (needs rails), 3rd row seat latches. Those are the most common things I can think of. Ron |

For my '00 DII, they've replaced: - Battery replaced - ECU replaced (SLABS) - Throttle cable - Both cylinder heads cleaned / valve guides replaced @ 33K miles - Radiator 2x (top leak) - Idler pulley (whine) - Rocker shaft assembly overhaul(ticky-ticky-ticky sound) - Shift lever assembly (sometimes won't shift from Reverse to Drive) - Throttle body gasket replaced (leaking coolant) - WXYZ transmission switch replaced *all of the above taken care under the 50K warranty. Hopefully all the premature failures from the factory are all fixed. I believe I now have a reliable truck. LOL. I am very happy with the dealer / customer service even with all the repairs. I just dropped my jaw when they replace major things without a fuss. |

Under warranty i had - Battery - ECU replaced (SLABS) - Throttle cable - Radiator - Heated windsheild, twice all replaced under warranty. Now that im 300 miles out of warranty, my front drive shaft blew up and took out my trans. Their current response is too bad, but im trying to change that. |

Ahoy hoy, Thanks for all of the input. Are any of the problems listed above LR recall issues? Thanks, Woody |
