Well, a few months ago it all started! I had to replace my rotors and I thought I would never find a wrench to remove the nut. Then after that was fixed my service engine light came on. After that was fixed my tail pipe fell off. Then my blinker was messed up. Now my windshield wipers are acting crazy. They work fine on high and low, but on the intermittent they will go up, stick for a count of five and then go back down. I think I will leave them the way they are so nothing else happens. lol Seriously, any suggestions. Eventhough I complain, I would not trade my 95 Discovery for anything. Great vehicle. |

'97 D1 - same issue w/ intermittent, also on mine they won't "park" ... These problems are notorious Lucas happenings. I believe the intermittent/park features are integral to the motor (AKA "potted motor") ergo the entire motor needs to be swapped out (approx $ 180 US I believe). One site recommends lubing the linkages but this didn't work for me so I live with it. Check this link if you want details - scroll down to "elec-tricks" ... (note that this vehicle ('Otto") is an '89 Disco though, maybe the motor is different)... http://www.sf.hiof.no/~frodehaa/disco.html |

At least I am not alone. Yes, I think I will live with it myself. Someone mentioned a relay. I will research that and see. If I find anything I will let you guys know. Thanks |

last year my wiper just stop working on my 95 Disco. And it kept popping the fuse. I spray WD40 on the wiper motor and never had a problem since. Its very wierd. |
