Josh,

I just ran it outside the rear door to the hinged side of the rear door. Inside I pulled it in behind the trim where the tail light is.

In my installation I pulled the cable through the side because the CB (Cobra 75WX...) was mounted in the centre console so I needed it routed along the floor.

If I were mounting it on the ceiling I would pull the trim around the rear door and run it up the C pillar and across the ceiling.

I find that a stainless steel antenna whip or wire coat hanger works great as a fish. Put the fish in the CB mounting location back towards the loction of the rear right door and tape the coax to it and pull it towards the CB mounting location.

You should also run a ground wire between the antenna mount and a screw in the chassis. Maybe the bolt that holds on the hinge. This is very important, because the tire mount is not an effective ground plane and will adversely affect your CB performance.

Hope this helps.

Victor

I went along the headliner to the a pillar on the right then whent down to the floor and under the plastic door sills all the way to the back seats then tucked it into the plastic by the cargo area and trough the large rubber gromit that houses all of the other cables and went through the small gomit thats for the washer cable in the door. You have to take the back door apart and cut the coax then splice it back together when done. Hope this helps

I also have a cb radio to install from Xmas Midlan 79-290.
I would like to install in the ceiling but I have sunroofs. Are there any photos of different installations? I do not have cables or an antenna. Plan to install the antenna off the read r/h bumper area. Should the cable be a fixed length?

I ended up using about 22 feet of cable to get it from where the sunroof controls would be to the spare tire. It is always easier to get too much first then it is to have to little. But you can easily put two cables together if you go to radio shack and get a connector.
