Had a good time wheeling yesterday: http://www.redbirdsra.com/bkgallery.htm On the way out of the facility, I was driving rather spiritedly on a rutted-muddy road. No my steering wheel that normally rests at 9:00 and 3:00 is set at 11:00 and 5:00 while going straight. Should I take it to an alignment shop or is there a quick and easy way to re-align it myself. Sounds like you could have bent drag link. Get under there and check it out. If it is not bent the drag link will center the wheel. Loosen the clamps on either end where the drag link attached to the wheel and to the pitman arm and twist it while checking out the position of the wheel. You will want to do this when the wheel and steering can move freely.

Also check your rear track rod, the rod where the steering damper is attached to, it hangs low and is easily damaged. |

Thanks Brian and Alan. I will check it out this evening. My XD has the front skid plate and I don't recall hitting anything but you know how that goes. B.K. |
