I have a 98 Disco and went througha coin operated car wash and the vehicle cut off after the rinse cycle now will not start. I checked the fuses in under the hood and found that the cover was gone and the fuel pump and fuel system fuses dryed out the tray the vehicle attempted to run but now will not turn over. I left the vehicle to rest for over a couple hours still nothing. Any help before I have to take it in for repair. Thanks in advance |

Probablt stillw ater in the fuse tray and or at the ECU - remove ECU and dry connections there to start. Bill PS ( ECU is on passenger side near washer fluid reservoir and should have a black plastic cover) |

yeah its likely the ECU, also check the little black box beside it remove connections and dry them off. i had the same thing happen to me, the diso wouldnt turn over, it turns out that my fuel pump relay (the little black box) shorted my mechanic broke it open and fixed it. i know your pain it sucks to have this truck thats suppose to go anywhere break in a car wash. mine bit the dust while i was attempting to ford a 3 inch deep puddle infront of all of my frat brothers who will never let it down. was it the 97 SD that broke? |
