I saw a Futura Adventurer from PeP Boys for Disco 1 about $73.00 including install with 60K miles warrranty. Does anyone have any experience with highway/snow/offroad? Are they reliable?

Thanks.

Haven't used the Adventurer, but I am on my second set of Enforcers. Many others here are using Enforcers as well. Futura is really Cooper tires, rebadged for Pep Boys, and they are good tires.

Althought I have no firsthand experience with Futura tires, my understanding is that their offroad tires are built on the same carcass as their road tires. No added strength, durability, flex, anything. Just exterior rubber.

Don't look into the MTs too hard.........they are no longer made. I tried to get a set on my power wagon recently and was told they dont make them anymore. I ended up getting some tires called Mud King XT made by cavalier. They are real nice. A friend of mine had some Futuras that looked kinda like the tread of BFG AT on a Tahoe and they lasted a long time and rode nice.

My first set of Enforcers went twice roundtrip from NJ to Utah for some wheeling in Moab, they went to Canada and once roundtrip to California where they went through Rubicon and Dusy. They performed well and didn't blow out, so I guess you are right, they are crap...........

I don't know what store you went into Matt, but I bought my set of Enforcer MTs less than a year ago and I was in a Pep Boys less than 2 months ago and they had tons for sale...

I got my enforcers 2 months ago and they already have 4000 mi on them. On-road capability is very good, except that I had to get used to the noise which isn't too bad at all if you've got ur radio on. Off-road, damn these tires are good. For the price they're really bang for the buck. The peps boys that I went to had a bunch for sale. But they did mention that they wouldn't be keeping this tire in the future.

The enforcers look.. like good tires - $73 wow that's a great price.

I was also looking at:

http://yuanzhengtire.com/lt_maine.html

The HP070 tires look pretty good

I like the Simex tires available in Europe

And petlas - (which don't appear to be available here - isn't that always the case).

I noticed that hankook ? Make a pretty aggresive tire/tyre as well.

I've had good experience with them. Make sure and buy the replacement policy. I blew two rallying. They replaced them, minus pro-rate for miles, no questions asked. They're cheap enough to buy a recommended, second spare!
