Alright guys, i was saving up for a 9000 lb wich for my 96 disco, which seems to come especially in handy in the winter around here, but in light of now replacing my engine, there's no way I'll be able to afford one. Now I do have a warn T4500 winch off of my last jeep, yes i know my rover alone weighs more than that, but what I want to know is would if be beneficial to mount the 4500 for now, or a compleate waste of time? Also, I am currently building my own bumpers, but would like to work it out somehow so i can keep the originall disco brush guard, any Ideas? |

I would say that an underpowered winch is better than no winch, as long as you are aware of it's limitations. You can always use a snatchblock to double the power, too. Just make sure the cable is strong enough. - Axel

Cut apart the OEM brush guard and weld the top part to the top of the bumper? Email RoverSolutions -- they're often helpful...
