I wonder how that is registered in California? I always thought the Td5 was illegal in California? |

Me too John. Seems legit though. Maybe some kind of truck registering so it only needs to pass an opacity test? I may email the seller and find out. Brian |

Brian, a woman in Shelton just bought a 2000 TD5 110, it somehow came thru a diplomatic clause, where any vehicle regardless of emissions or DOT can be brought to the USA by the "diplomat" , it is then titled and registered as any other compliant vehicle would be. then it can be sold without issue. Her only issue now is that it has an electrical problem (surprise surprise).. and she cant find anyone to work on it. Dealers dont want to touch it, and apparently Dawson doesnt either. From my conversation with her, it appears that it has become a major headache for her.. fwiw |

I was under the impression that diplomatic-imported vehicles had to be returned to the country-of-origin after the diplomat's tour of duty was over. Easier way to do it would be to buy one wherever, then dissasemble it. Ship over the chassis, the engine, the body panels, all in separate containers. Reassemble, and register it as a kit-car. -L |

Anyone know what these things go for in the UK? If you've got the bucks, it's not a bad thing to look at, considering 93s go for around $50k. The serviceability scares me though. chu |

Chu, It'd be something where YOU are the service... I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wasn't into doing their own work on most things.... FWIW... -L |
