Where is the adjustment on the parking brake on Discoveries? Need to tighten mine up, but can't for the life of me find the adjuster. I'm sure I'm going to end up feeling like an idiot, but.... Thanx in advance. |

When I changed my cable I did all the adjusting from inside the cab. I had the cover removed over the parking brake handle and was able to remove all the free play I had in the system. |

There is an adjustment screw on the back side of the drum. Tighten it down until the drum no longer turns by hand then back it off a click or two. The object is not to have shoes dragging on drum when parking brake lever is all the way down. Now give it a try. I like mine fully engaged when pulling the lever up three or four clicks. Hope this helps. |

Dennis has it right... If I'm not mistaken it is a 15mm socket. |
