sigh :-( reminds me of a Honda Element - I've seen a few other spy pics of D3 and they all point to the same thing

oh well if I ever have to buy another new vehicle it won't be a disco - Hope they don't do the same to the next defender

Maybe I'll get one of these next

That UK military vehicle looks like a Humvee with a different front fascia, and metric dimensions...

I agree looks suspiciously like a military version of the H2

Its an Alvis MLV - powered by the 3.0 Iveco diesel engine - apparently when they did the trials for a new support vehicle this beat out the H1/H2 and defender :-(

Looks as though all military 4x4's are going to the UUM shape - (UUM was a 4x4 pre-dating the hummer that was powered by a puegeot diesel)

Jeff, I'll say to you what my (what the hell? I can't type the word "girl" in front of "friend" without "girl" being deleted? Is that part of the filter?) female companion for romance (see prior notes in parentheses) says often:

"Andy, you're real quick..."

Ah, the hell with it. It would've been funny without the filter....never mind...

Sigh.....

Okay, I've been paying attention to Honda Elements recently, and the big thing I've noticed is, they're tiny compared to the Disco... when I've pulled up next to an Element in the wife's '95 D1, I'm looking across it's roof, and the wife's Disco isn't lifted.

Appearance-wise, the biggest gripe that I have is the "crying lady's mascara" look that it shares with the new Freelander.... if you had a black one, you wouldn't notice it, but all the pics of the silver ones really show up the black on the front in a non-favorable way....

My more serious gripes are the independent suspension and the spare underneath the cargo area instead of on the back. (Not to mention the electronic issues, other syling mis-cues, etc. etc.)

Anyone notice that there are trees reflected on the windshield and that at least half of the vehicle ( when the image is blown up ) has been added/retouched/assembled?
The gradients and shadows don't make sense either. I have pictures of aliens too.......
