I have a 2000 Disco with a 6 CD changer under the passenger seat. Can I burn CD's and play them in this system or is the technology to old for that?

Thanks in advance.

John

If you have problems with CDs you burn, try turning the burn speed of your CD-R drive down. Often times this results in a more readable disk. It's the only way my girlfriend's sterio will accept CDs from my burner.

I have managed to burn a single song and play it in the Disco, now my stupid computer won't put more than one song on the CD. Perhaps the same company that made the electrics in my disco are now making computers!

Thanks for your help!

Also, your burning software probably has several "modes" based on what type of disc you want to create. Be sure you select the one that basically says "Audio CD". If you burn it as a "data" disc, even if you tell it to close the disc so it can be read in any player, it will likely NOT work in an automobile CD player (unless it's a player that specifically says it can play such discs). This is how the Roxio software (which I use at work) does its voodoo, at least. Your software might be a little different.

Also, thanks for the tip on slowing-down the burning speed!! I have made a few custom discs that don't play well, although most of mine do. I will try to burn them again at the slower speed and see how that comes out.
