I've been having rear defroster problems, it only worked intermittently. Joey was kind enough to send me a wiring diagram, but the electrical side is a little daunting to me. Now what I found is every time I replace the 30 amp fuse for the rear defrost in the engine bay, the light in the switch works. Now as soon as I press the switch to turn on the rear defrost, the fuse blows every time. This *seems* like a bad ground? Problem is I cannot trace the ground wire. And is there a separate one for each mirror (which are also heated by this circuit)? Thanks for any help. joe |

Had the same problem...short was in the wiring where it goes from the body to the door, you'll have to do some digging. expect to remove the door trim |

Absolutely not a bad ground, as this would cause more resistance and therefore less current. Probably like Chris said a short in the wiring tube from bnody to door. Greetz, Joey |
