Does anyone know how to put two optima battery's in a discovery. I've seen it done in a discovery II but it's just a picture, close up, and no explanation. they have to have moved something.

Anyone done this before or know someone who has?

Thanks Matt. I think i'll run 2. With a winch, aux lights on the brush bar, roof, and rear, GPS, and radio. Better safe than sorry right.

I'd like to see some pics of your XD when you get your bumper, etc..., put on.

Since we're about the same age, what do some of your friends say about having a bright yellow rover? I've had a lot of guys say mine looks bad ass, while others say it's down right ugly.

Just curious,

Matt

Yup, nothing better than driving by somebody and watching them almost break there neck because they turned there head too fast. The best is when they say, "Wow, I love your (silence), what IS that thing?" Nobody ever really knows what to call it.

"i get heat from some just cuz its a rover."
I'm in the same boat man.

I've read post about how ridiculously long $G takes to ship orders. I know the feeling waiting for parts to arrive. i.e., I ordered 2 Cobra 75 WX ST CB's, and 2 Wilson antennas. I have recieved 4 antennas, and no CB's. To top it off the company tried to charge me for 4 CB's. The whole thing is messed up.

Later,
Matt

Hey Jack,

Putting two PC1200 batteries together as in the second link (Above) seems to me to be more trouble than it is worth, when you consider you only gain 14 minutes of reserve time over a single PC1700, if you have the batteries paralleled as one big battery. If you have them Isolated, the starter battery is now down 325 CCAs on a single PC1700, and each single PC1200 has only a 78 minute reserve time. These batteries seem awfully small to me. If you are going to go to the trouble of wiring up a dual battery system, a PC1700 on each side of the radiator sounds like a great plan though….

Dual PC1200’s (paralleled as on battery) gives you:

156 Minutes of reserve & 1100 CCA’s

Single PC1700 gives you:

142 Minutes reserve & 875 CCA’s

Dual PC1700’s (paralleled as one battery) gives you:

284 Minutes of reserve & 1750 CCA’s
