I was looking at autozone for some sensor safe silicone sealant for installing my snorkel tomorrow. The only sealant that said sensor safe was silicone RTV Blue (something to that nature) but it didn't say silicone sealant , it said "gasket maker." I saw on the tech section that the guy uses "door and window" sealant (saw some at walmart). Would this be better to get? Is "gasket maker" the same? Please give me some help. Thanks |

I used silicone from Advanced auto parts, it is sensor safe. Its primary use is for O2 sensors. I am not really sure how sealant can mess up the MAF, Can someone explain what happens, along with characteristics? |

Permatex Ultra Black is sensor safe. Most autopart stores carry it. - Axel
