I know this will appear tame to a lot of you, but the wife and I took the Disco out into the snow (about 1.5 feet in 3 days.) We had a lot of fun. Notice the pic.

Our excursion in the snow.

Nice. We were out exploring new trails in VT. About 2 feet of snow. My underside scraped along the whole time.

And check out the difference between my 265 tires and my friend's 37s:

I wonder how you (or anyone) would all make out trying to plow through this?

Just wanted to add that the "waffles" were an essential part of the kit since they saved our ass twice: once for the CT not to roll down the hill, and another time for a serious ditch crossing to allow all the other trucks (I passed it with no worries) to cross it and not turn back.

Bruce,

NOW THATS WHAT I CALL SNOW!

It's funny how since I got my Disco in Oct 2002 I can't wait until the snow arrives. Before that I couldn't stand winter and dreaded every minute.

This year has been unseasonably warm (11*C above normal). As a result, we are into January and there is no snow on the ground in Toronto. Apparently, we are about to get the snow storm that just hit Colorado yesterday. 4 inches today and another 4 tomorrow.

I can't wait.

Jamie; You worry too much about the snow. We get tens of thousands of African refugees each year that have never seen snow, much less driven their cabs in it. The first snow fall is a disaster, but they learn in a day or two how to handle it. You wouldn't have any problems, especially in a 4x4 like a Disco.

Oh Geez, according to the commercials, only Lexi and Fords can blaze thru snow carefree. Be super, extra, double-careful with the Rover.(sarc/)

Andy,

How much did it cost you (parts & labour) for the supercharger? Very clean installation. Nice rig!

I live on the border of Mt Raininer, Wa ( USA ). We got 3 ft of snow !! @ 1700 elevation . The plow trucks where sent into the low lands to help out with their 1 1\2 foot of snow . I actualy had to put my Stock Disco into the low gear to get over a 4 foot berm of snow to access the Highway.

I love my New Disco 97

Andy,

Where did you get your supercharger from, and does your Rover still run good/have any problems with it? Love to be able to smoke some civic's with a Rover here in Washington.
