I'm running into a problem with my T17. It appears that the main bumper does not align with the bracket connecting to the frame. There's about a 8 mm space between the bracket and the bumper(on both sides) (on the bottom bolt, I placed 3 washers to show how much of a gap there is),

And on the passenger side, the bumper sticks out farther than the drivers side. I can't push the passenger side in as the bumper hits the bracket.

Anyone run into these kind of problems while installing a TJM bumper?

Anyone out there willing to crawl under your DI and measure the frame(width wise, across, the distance between the frames is what I want)? Outer edge to outer edge is what I would like to hear about. On my disco, I measure 31".

thanks

Wes, I also have the same problem with the TJM on my 96 Disco. Never go around to correct it. Good Luck!

J A,

What do you mean? I haven't had the chance to work with it yet since Sunday. Were you able to install the TJM properly?

thanks

It has been a while since I installed mine but I seem to remeber having to keep everything very loosly fit and utilizy patience and a mallet to help ease all the bolts in. It is frustrating but you have to keep in mind not everything on a LR is an exact fit.
