Had a neighbor accidentally drive into the front of my Disco fitted with a RTE A-frame winch bumper. He was accelarating across traffic into the turn lane where I was sitting, waiting for a break in the traffic. I would guesstimate speed to be around 10-15mph. Other than losing a plastic lamp guard for the Hella 4k, not a single crease, dent or scratch! The Liberty, on the other hand, now needs a bumper, fender, headlight, grill, and hood. I didn't even spill my coffee.

Good to hear Trev. A man's coffee is very important :-)

Trevor,

I have been wondering how much of a hit the Hellas can take. Was the light hit very hard, and any cracks to the mount or lens?

I don't think that the lamp took a direct hit, as much as it was the crumpling fender stopping short of breaking the lens. I had a hi-lift move and push against the housing hard enough to transfer paint once, but other than that... . I use the clear lens guards and have broken the fingers off of those numerous times, but have never broken a glass lense.
