I just traded my '95 disco for a '99 Audi A4 Avant. It's better suited for my current lifestyle. I'll miss the rover and I'll probably own another one later, but alas it's gone for now. I do want to thank everyone at this board for any assistance they've provided in the past.

Thanks,
Scott Wisker

please continue to visit, and especially do, so that you can report to us the probs that you encounter with the A4- I know three people with A4's and they keep the guys at http://www.cityimports.com busy with routine visits and reports of persistent Audi troubles....
Hey I for one am an Audi lover, and I perfer the 5 rings over the Saab- so I am not trying to pound on your post for any self indulged reasons, I just want to know what your 2,3,4,5,6 etc. months of ownership are like with the A4-
One day I will cough up some loot for the A8-

Before the babies we spent 4 trouble free years with our 96 A4 2.8. In that time we amassed over 120K miles and had absolutely no troubles. The couple we sold it to now has over 180 on it again with no un scheduled service. I actually emailed them a few months ago inquiring about buying it back for my daily driver. I've been test driving MB C280's, BMW 328's and neither of them feel close to the fit/finish of the Audi.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll love it.

Good luck with the Avant Wisker! That is a damn nice car. I have driven my friend's '99 A6Q sedan and it is a wonderful car. Seems we are switching places. I am trading my 1989 Audi 90 with 230,000 miles for a 99 DII! I can't wait to pick it up. I have driven my Audi for 10 years, and have loved it every mile. But alas, the dirt is calling me...

I sold my A4 2.8Q a year ago, had some minor problems right after the warrenty expired.
But it is a very good car and I will certainly buy one later.
enjoy your A4...

Funny I am kind of torn between an Audi A4 Avant and Range Rover 4.0. Both cost 17,000 but cant decide. Good luck with your Avant it is a great car I can tell you based on my 2001 VW GTI same family of cars.
