Why not do what decendants of Vikings are doing in Iceland...38's and 44's.

I'm running 285/75-16's with 4.5" lift. Originally I had about 2.5", but the tires would still occasionally bottom out in the wheel wells under full compression of the suspension. So I wouldn't do any less than 2.5-3".

Im running 285/65/18 (32.8") with 3" lift. Only slight rubbing on Radius arm, fixed by adjusting stops.

I ran 255x85's on stock alloys and 2" OME lift (779's in front, 763's in rear) for two years. No rubbing, did have to adjust steering stops a little. Rear fenders were trimmed and ARB on the front. The stock drivetrain didn't like them 33's much though. Stick with 265x75's, you'll have a lot less problems.
