I am going to change my coolant temp sensor but where is it located exactly? any suggestions on directions? a picture of its location will help plenty. I just get stuck with all the auto shop verbage and lose it but I'll take whatever help you can provide. beggers can't be chosers. thanks |

The coolant temp sensor is on top of the engine. Follow the upper radiator hose back to where it enters the top of the motor. The coolant temp sensors (there are 2) are to either side, about 2 inches away. The sensor for the gauge is larger, with two push-on terminals. The fuel injection sensor is smaller with an almost-square 2 pin plug. |

over the summer it seemed like my d1 was overheating, but one time I was driving on the highway and the temp guage went crazy from normal to high nothing happened. But my question is can the problem be a faulty temp sensor. |

check your engine code under the passenger seat. if you have a number 14 then it may well be. you can have it check with a special gauge but the problem is finding who has it without purchasing it yourself and not having the dealer check. we all know how much they charge for even smaller things. keep searching. good luck. |
