I've noticed over the past couple of days that the rear end on my truck is sagging terribly. Its a 2002 with SLS and after I leave it parked for a few hours, the bags are deflating or somethings leaking to let both sides down to basically nothing. Is this something that happens when it gets cold? We've been around 0-30 degrees for a couple of days, and this is the first i've noticed it. As soon as I start it, the compressor kicks on and the bags gets up, I'm just worried because I haven't seen it happen before. Any suggestions? Thanks. By the way, I'll finally have something to contribute soon. I just finished a bike/ski rack that may interest some of you...will post soon. |

Check the air line connections, where they attach to the compessor, under the truck. I had a simular problem (but not as severe). The nuts on the lines had become loose, and were easily tightened. Hope this helps. |

Remove the SLS system and replace it with springs. That's what I did and you will never have problems with air bags again...springs don't fail. Jamil |

mine goes down when I turn her off. The dealer says its to make loading easier....it does get back level when I start her back up. I sprayed a soapy solution on the lines and didn't find any leaks and then left it alone. Do I have a problem. BTW the fob with the green button sometimes doesn't make the rear go up and down. I just live with it. the dash swith makes it go up. |
