I too was having the hard starting issue with my 97 D1 4.0. I read on here about all the injector issues and pretty much decided that this was my problem. I found one post were a replacement Bosch injector number was used. I looked it up on Ebay and found a new set. These injectors worked WONDERFULLY. Starts up instantly and purrs like a kitten. The injectors I put in are Bosch number 0280150561. A vendor on e-bay sells these regularly. They are injectors removed from Chevy 350 crate engines. The vendor, which has an excellent feedback rating, is fiveomotorsport. They are listed as replacement 21 lb. injectors for Corvette TPI systems with pink tops. These sell for $178.80 for a set of 8. Much better than $250+ a piece which LR wants. I am in no way related to this company, but just wanted to share what I found. This thing is running sooo good now, I don't want to sell it, but the wife wants a new car. Oh well. My rover also only has 84K miles on it and the stock injectors were leaking by pretty badly. |
