What a dumbass. They're lucky they didn't bend the whole windshield frame and break the windshield. Idiots.

That cheerleader looked like a jeep tried to unsucessfully drive over her face.

She must be as smart as she is beautiful.

Its a Jeep thing I guess...

Want another look into the psyche of the Jeep driver? Go to TrailDamage.com and look at the videos of her driving through mud puddles. That squealing will tell you more than enough :-)

I saw this posted at another forum. People have too much time on their hands.

Certainly the person who's idea it was to even attempt the pull with a VW is a idiot. But the biggest idiot by far is the dude trying to ram a snow pile.

Brian, it wasn't a dude...it was a dudette....

But you're right. It rivals the "let's see who can get more stuck in the parking lot" challenges, but at least with those there's a real recovery vehicle handy.

You're still right though -- it was OffRoadGirl who was the biggest idiot there...

If yer gonna do something like that, at least make sure the story starts "We were sitting around drinking and thought we could get my Wrangler up and over this pile of snow..."

:-)

Susannah-take Brians post and cut and paste the entire thing, that's what I did, b/c I had the same initial problem. I think the semicolon messes it up, but it worked a few days ago via cut and paste.

So is she an idiot for getting stuck and driving on the snow pile or is the VW thing? Just curious. I know the VW part was stupid, but was the snow mound? Couldn't see just be having some fun?

Calm-

IMHO - I think everyone would agree that the entire episode was stupid. Driving up the snow bank was stupid, but many (including Land Rover owners) might consider it fun. Especially after imbibing a few toddy's.

Using the VW for a recovery vehicle isn't particularly stupid, with its tires on dry payvement it may have been able to extract the Jeep.

Anchoring the line to the WV windshield frame was not only moronic (single digit IQ's here), but it was potentialy dangerous as well.

In about six months you will probably see these same people on Peoples Court arguing about who should have to pay for the damage to the VW.

They are probably lucky there was not a winch on the front of the Jeep and someplace to anchor it (Like a VW windshield frame.)

I mean I have done that thing with the snow bank, it was fun and I got stuck. It was only like 4 feet tall though. But I dug myself out and i was fine. It was fun, but would that be bad or just youthful fun?

It's not on there anymore. I don't know if they have archives either on that board...lemme check...nope, even though a search reveals "Urban Snow Wheeling" from 1/9/04 it links to the Slaughterhouse 1-11 report. They must've removed the thread due to outside boards' interest in it...
