Has anyone used these tires? I have a chance to get 4 brand new in 235 70 16 for $400. Tire shop has a set in their wharehouse that a customer ordered in September and never came back for.

They will be used for my winter tire and some off roading. No real mud or super difficult trails. Just New York City winters and some easy to moderate trails.

Thanks,
Brian

Sorry, I forgot to add. I got to drive a bronco with BFG MT's. The owner said the tire are great in snow and mud, crappy(his words) on ice, and ok but loud on the highway. They were a little loud at 40 mph in the streets

My friend has the duelers on his jeep and he loves them. I have driven it, but for a mostly street tire I have never heard anything bad about them.

I have the AT Revo's on my disco, and so far here in WV they are great on road and snow tires. They handle well in every condtion I have had to drive in so far, but haven't been off road with them unless you count driving up my 30+ degree back yard pulling a 18 foot trailer to move some lumber....Didn't spin a tire.

I have had these tire on my rig for almost a year now. They are great in snow. So far they have been great off road on rocky surfaces. When you get in the mud though, watch out. They don't do a very good job of clearing the mud out. They are extremely quiet on the highway. I would say that if you've got the opportunity to buy them at that price then you're getting a pretty good deal - not a great deal - but a pretty good deal. I paid just over $700 for 5 tires.

I have them on my RR right now and they are great. I have used them in Snow, Mud, Dirt and or course Highway. I had a some slippage in mud but that was when I was pulling out a Jeep Cherokee who was stuck so I could not have been happier. The road noise is a little bit more than stock but more than likly less than BFG MT and the wet weather handling is really good. I would highly recommend this tire.

I left a message at the shop and I'll drop the rims off one day this week to get them mounted.

Next I have to find a set on highway/summer tires. I am considering the Kumho Ecsta STX. No rush for that decision though.

If you want but the Dueler's that you are referring to are fine in the summer as well.

My Revos seem to be as smooth on the highway as the stock tires were....

I got them and I like them. :-) I think it was a good choice. Now I'll wait for spring and get dedicated summer tires. I just want to minimize road noise on the long rides.
