anybody ever tried to change a broken(actuator?) power (rear) window to the old style manual? i'd rather they all be manual so they wont break.

should be a bolt in for a DI with factory pieces.
BTW the Camel Trophy Discos had electric rears and manual fronts so the driver and navagator could un-ass the truck if they went in the deep end of the pool. Anybody in the back seat would just be S.O.L.:-)

Looked into it...Might be easier to buy a Series rig :-)

I'm sure it can be done, Taxi...I had a hell of a time finding someone who carried the parts though...if you find a way let us all know!

Yep - I'd be interested - when I was looking around for a discovery - I really wanted one with wind up windows, vinyl or cloth seats and rubber flooring instead of the posh carpeting and leather.

Taxi, by the time you convert your windows, your ABS sensors will crap out, so will the brake switch, VSS, and [insert your favorite here].
So I'd start with the big things first. Get a 3.9 timing chain cover, and use points-style distributor from a 68-73 Buick Skylark. Say no to sissiness!

was that sort of like "get a life"? truly, i do have much bigger worries w/ this beast of a disco. it's a love-hate relationship.
