I was at the dealership for about 2 hours yesterday and got to watch the disc they run continuously...it was great! Had all the history as well as the Camel Trophy etc. and I'm wondering if it's possible to get a copy. I asked the sales guy (who was VERY UNinformed) and he said he didn't think they sell it anymore. I would really love to have atleast the history part.

Hey Susan,

I saw something like that at my dealer and just asked the Service Mgr if I could borrow it for a couple days. He was happy to lend it so maybe ask and see if your dealer will do the same.

As a warning, I don't know if they are available to the public, and I bet they cost an arm and a leg.

Thanks for the info Alyssa, hopefully I'll be able to obtain a copy!

I was singing your praises this weekend to my husband...we went to a dealer in NC, while visiting my sister, and test drove a new Disco and looked at the Freelanders. While the sales associates were all very friendly, only one seemed to be knowledgeable. The man who rode with us actually commented that "most people don't even know what that knob (4wd transfer case gear shift) is and have never used it. I drive one of these and I've never used it." This was in response to Ivan's question about the CDL availability....his facial expression was priceless! I really hope that if we ever buy a new Rover, we can come up to Main Line and buy from you! I had fun visiting your centre this fall! Thanks again!

Well, we were in Cary when we drove the truck. I was in Virginia Beach on Monday when I watched the videos.

Ah.... I heard to avoid that one if possible, sounds like the advice was correct.

Cary? Well, I really like the people there ... I talked with Woody on the phone and he was very knowledgeable, but I think he is the senior sales person. The sales people were very friendly though and I liked their dealership. I just wasn't too impressed with the guy that rode with us!

VAB dealership sales people were VERY unfriendly. Service manager was great though.

The greensboro dealer ship has been great to me. Have had nothing but good experiences there. Sales, Service, etc.
