About a month ago I pressed the brakes in my 1998 D1 and the radio shut off, only to come on again about 1 minute later. A few days later, the same thing happened, but the radio still has not come back on. In addition to this, the heated/power seats do not work, nor does the cigar lighter or the visor vanity lights. These items are on two different circuts, and the fuses are fine. Any thoughts on what it might be????? |

Could be the multifunction unit , clipped to the back of the fuse box. This controls most of these functions. Also check ground connections behind side fascia in footwells. |

Did you get your radio and lighter/visor/vanity lights to work? I was working on my dome light tonight. The middle light and back interior lights both worked, but not the front dome light. I first tried the bulb - no luck. I then took down the dome light and it wasn't plugged in. I plugged it in - and while putting the nuts back on it - it sparked, and I'm guessing I blew a fuse. I checked the fuses - but can't find exactly which fuce it would be - as all of the ones I checked were fine. Cigar lighter, heated seats, power seats, visor lights - all work. Which fuse should I check? Now - the middle light and back light don't work either. And in the process - I unplugged the radio fuse - and now have to enter my code again. Please help! bz |
