So I was thiking, the leather and foam always wears out in the drivers side cushion first, so would it be possible to swap the cushions out between the seats? They look the same. Obviously the backrests are different due to the armrests. Just a thought, anyone know how hard this would be? |

Believe it or not, some other idiot (me) has already tried this on a 96 D1 (non-electric seats). And it works. Remove the seats from the truck. Turn them upside down and very carefully unclip the retaining bars/clips that hold the pleather to the inner ring. The pleather and the foam cushion will come off as one. Leave them together as a unit and swap. It's probably taken as much time to type this email as it will probably to do the job (seat removal from the truck excluded). I'm a slow typist. Have fun. |
