Been looking around the shops and online. Basically I would like wader-style gloves. Anyone seen something like this?

I know, but it was all I could think of :-)

My other idea is to cut the long sleeves off of a wetsuit or drysuit and heat seal the wrist area to gloves of the same material.

I'm interested to see what kind of replies you get. It's a really neat idea if someone has found a way to keep them on :-)

Check chemical suppliers and marine outfitters. I've only seen shoulder length with elastic bands that cross over ones back to hold the gloves on.

Rupert and all - they had about 600 different types of glove! Eventually lead to other links, and what I was looking for turned out to be a pair of (Bemac) gauntlets, for ice fishing and trapping. $26 a pair not a bad price too.

Thanks

Dean

Well we seem to have to reach in to freezing water to attach shackles and straps occasionally, and that is not a nice thing at midnight at -5 degrees!
