This occurs under the rubber mat found on the entire floor (under the carpet)of our 94 Disco 300Tdi. I think I have found condensation. Ambient temp in the day is 30+ so may hit 40+inside the car. We don't leave the car with its windows open so heat builds up. Has anybody else experienced condensation under this area. And if so is just leaving the window ajar the solution? Brian |

chances are the a/c condensation tray drains are blocked and the overflow water ends up on your floor mats in the cab. There are 2 drain nipples on either side of the transmission about in line with the door jams. These can sometimes be clogged and won't let the excess water drain. You can easily clean these up, just need to climb under the truck while its cold and pull the nipples off.. be carefull.. if the drains are full, you'll have to duck out of the way of the water gushing out. |

Thanks for that Ed. Checked the nipples. Dinky little things. Looked as if they were had bit parts in "Lord of the Rings". They are clean and no water came out. A/C is not very effecient. Where else in the A/C line should I check to see if there is a blockage. Brian |

As you run the aircon and park, there should be water puddles under the vehicle. If there isnt take a bit of small hose and blow up thru the nipples. bazzle |

Much to my neighbours amazement I have just gone out and blown and blown my heart out trying to clear them there nipple holes. The tube goes in no problem, but no water comes out and I tried both sides. It puts a new spin on the phase "blowing up a discovery"! Brian |

the actual trays themselves might be full of crud.. Have you noticed the puddles below the truck when the a/c is running? If not, then there is a problem.. the nipples might not be plugged but the actual tray is.. insert a coat hanger and gently push up...don't want to be too rough & possibly puncture the evap. The only other thing that might cause water in the footwell is a leaking windshield, sunroof drain, or firewall leak....
