my check engine light had been on for some time, so i thought it was about time i read the codes. boy was i shocked when 16 codes showed. i think some of them have to do with a little fording incident awhile back. after fording a creek the disco died right on the opposite bank. i eventually got it started agian, and about 10 miles up the road i broke down. i called aaa and got towed to my house. it started the next morning and i have been driving it since (happened late nov). if it is running well, clear 'em all, and see if the check engine light comes back on. if it does come back on, read the codes again and go from there. | ||

yeah i cleared them, and it didnt come back on. i forgot to ad that. thnks. also im about to hit 140k are there any special preventive maint. tips i should consider? | ||

since your check engine light hasn't come back on, I would just chalk it up to a computer f-u when it got wet, and don't worry about it. here is a link to some service schedules. kind of depends on what was last done on your truck on what should be done now, i would guess: http://www.robisonservice.com/servicedep/rover_advice2.asp |
