I bought it for $18,000 with about 40,000 miles when the bank said it was worth $21,000 almost 3 years ago. Now 3 years and about 50,000 miles later KBB tells me $8,500 (to a private party). You would be hard pressed to find any 10 year old vehicle that has book value of more than $5000. This "blue book" system doesn't give much incentive for people to maintain the cars. Look at the 03 disco S, in July they were getting $33,000 to $35,000 for one, now they are running thru auction for $21,000 to $23,000 with 8k-13k miles. talk about depreciation.
