I’m getting all the parts together to install a mechanical oil pressure gauge on the Disco this weekend. Any one happen to know what size tread the stock electric oil pressure sender is. I was hoping to get a brass tee fitting this Friday.

For who wver cares, Ihaven't been able to find an adapter to fit a machanical oil Press gauge on the 4.0 V8

The oil press swithch appears to be 13mm 1.25 pitch.

If anyone knows of an adaptor that goes from 1/2" NPT female to 13mm 1.25 pitch male or 3/8" NPT female to 13mm 1.25 pitch, pleas let me know.

I will try to find a 13mm 1.25 pitch bolt to drill out to 3/8" NPT to make an adaptor but haven't been able to find that. Worst case, I'll break the switch appart, drill and tap that to 1/8 NPT.

Let me know what any of you have done & if there's a better solution.

It's not a standard size, as you probably already know. I put together an oil pressure guage for my '95 -- probably takes the same size as the 4.0. Can't remember what the size and pitch were, but I had to go to an industrial gasket/nut/bolt supply house to get one that would fit. You'll also probably need an adaptor to attach it to the standard oil pressure guage fitting. They are available, but you'll have to look in an industrial supply house rather than automotive supply.
