my 96 disco has dropped it's idle to 500-750 only... what is the regular idle rate? I've noticed a drastic change in power as well and my transmission seems to shift erratically now. I have a flowmaster exhaust and it is a lot quieter... seems almost like the engine is struggling for power... | ||

andrew, could be a few different things. i would test (or have tested) your alternator and fuel pump. failures of either could give you these symptoms. cheers, carl | ||

Check your spark plugs and cables, mine did the exact same thing, low idle, low power and all around poor performance. |
