A local land rover specialist said it would be $500-600 for a full service tune up on a 95 discovery with a 110k. Is it worth it? |

No, find out what he is going to do and do it yourself? Save over half of that amount!!! Champion Spark Plugs - AutoZone - $12.64 for 8 Set of Wire Calbes - Motorcars LTD - $37.99 Distributor Cap - Motorcars LTD - $16.89 Distributor Rotor - Motorcars LTD - $5.74 Fuel Filter - Motorcars LTD - $15.00 Timing check on Distributor - Independent Shop - $45 - $75 All of the above = ~ $135.00 in parts. Everything is pretty easy to do yourself, if you have the timing equipment is even better, I don't so I had to pay. |

I did it myself and bought only a few parts through the dealer (filters, wires, cap and rotor for 120K service) and bought the other stuff through discountbritishparts.com Youll save a lot of money doing it yourself and learn a great deal about your truck. |
