My rear sunroof works, my front one doesn't. So I would like to have the working sunroof up front. How hard would this be and is there any kind of write ups on this job. Thanks |

What's wrong with the sunroof? Motor problems or rail guide problems? Either way, it would double your amount of work if you swapped out the front for the rear. If its a rail problem, its totally not worth doing the swap - the rails cost $80 and requires about 3 hours to do (for 1 sunroof). The motor for the front will take about 30 minutes to replace, while the rear requires the back of the headliner to be dropped. Take a look at the tech section and you'll find some pictures for the removal of the front sunroof rails. The rear is the exact same as the front, so in theory (and with a bunch of time) you can do it. |

Well it is quite time consumptive but easy. Need a torque wrench, philips head and patience. You will need to drop the headliner to get it right. I would go with Porter's advice and spend the dough for the fix.
