Let's just wait and see. It may not be the total POS people are assuming it will be. Toyota people said the thing with the last Land Cruiser change in 1998. It turns out the new design Land Cruiser (with IFS) is nearly as capable off-road. I'm just trying to be optimistic.

if you go to hannibalusa.com and come to their homepage, there are 3 vehicles from left to right starting with the defender at left, then the jeep grand cherokee in the middle, what is the last vehicle at the top of the page, at the far right with a green color and a wierd snorkel?

Its a Brazilian car, I think is called the Crosslander, but it's supposed to have a very weak engine 118-hp, I think!!! The car though looks pretty cool with the twin headlights, it kind of resembles a Disco!!!

That is a Hannibal on a Hannibal - Santana of Spain's latest continuation of the Land Rover line.......well at least their branch off the tree. It is the Santana Hannibal (or PS-10 for military).

Here is a link with a discription:

* Brian, you posted while I was typing.......I stand corrected - it is a Crosslander.

2.8l Iveco is nice, but all around leaf springs? The rep. sent me a nice note about how they are working to get them into the U.S. and Canada because they get so many enquiries.

Pricing is interesting though:

The first Cross Lander model to be introduced is the 244X. The 244X is a full sized, four-door, Multi Purpose Recreation Vehicle that boasts a 4.0 liter V6 EFI SOHC ENGINE 207 hp with 238 lbs. of torque. The Cross Lander chassis and frame is made of thick steel to withstand the harshest of off road environments. All Cross Lander vehicles will come with standard four-wheel drive, 5-speed manual transmission and a 3 year 36,000 mile limited warranty and will sell for under $20,000, Manufactured Suggested Retail Price.
