As I was gassing up my 95 Disco last night I finally noticed after the $10.00 range that fuel was leaking from underneath the rear wheel well somewhere around the fuel filler and hose area. I am thinking it is the hose that connects to the filler. It looks to have a slash in it? Can I use an alternate part or fabricate one? Is there a bonding agent that will remedy this? Or could it be as simple as the pressure of the fuel coming out of the nozzle is too high? Can someone answer this, because after filling and turning the vehicle on the needle was close to empty still! |

is it the filler pipe or the breather tube that has the slash in it? No matter.. call a junk yard and get the filler tubes from them... guessing it'll be 1/2 the cost of less....

If you have a gash in your fuel hose, replace it with an original part. The fuel system is pressurized. You don't want to fuck around with a fuel leak, as it is a serious fire hazard. - Axel

I agree with Axel. Some things you can skimp on. Fuel leak repair shouldn't be one of them. |

Do what they say men get a good replacement part, you don't want to mess around with fuel. Land Rover Wreck Parts 1-888-908-7575 http://www.roverlandparts.com/parts.htm Call either one of them see if they have the parts, I've used both of them before and have not had any problems with their used parts!!!!

What caused the gash? Prevent the same from happening to the replacement hose. |

Thanks for the inputs. I do not know what could have slashed the fuel hose. Maybe I have a stalker? I am going to replace the part and I will post what I have found. |
