I qualify with the X Plan from work. Does any of the discount apply to accessories that already offered on the truck- i.e. heated seats, etc.... Can you deal even on X-Plan? Also anyone pull an RV with this truck? What options are needed if any to pull a heavy load? I understand that there is an attachment to your hitch that takes some of the load off the hitch when traveling on rough roads. Getting closer to a buy!! Thanks, Jim in Dublin, OH |

Anything that appears on the Monroney label qualifies for X-Plan. So, if heated seats came from the factory, they qualify. If you look at my post from last week, you'll see a little bit more about this. Dealing on X-plan is a major no-no in my book, although others on this board have tried. The tow rating for the Discovery is 5500 lbs. in high range (a trailer with brakes). I would doubt a motor home would tow nicely behind a Discovery (unless it was a little tiny one). |

I pull a 12 foot race trailer behind my Discovery, a 98 with a 4.0L. Loaded it weighs about 2,200 pounds. On long inclines you can tell the trailer is behind you otherwise it pulls it ok. I have a much larger trailer, a 28 footer that I wouldn't think of pulling behind the Disco. |

Hey Alyssa, why shouldn't a potential buyer try to deal on the X-plan??? If someone can get a better deal, I would say good for them! James, I would definitely encourage you to deal on the x-plan. In fact, I qualify for the X-Plan as well and I went to several LR dealerships and negotiated well below the X-Plan. Good luck! |
