Got in my truck the other morning and could not turn the key while in the ignition. At first I figured the alarm was confused as the doors unlocked fine but the alarm light on the dash continued to flash quickly, as though it were still ingaged. Called my dealer who is only 130 miles away and tried a few more steps, but no luck. Truck was flatbeded to dealer. Later got a call and was told the ignition needed to be replace and the part would take 2 days to be shipped from UK. Called again for status and I'm now told the part will take 2 weeks due to the uniqueness of the part having to match the owner. Whatever the fuck that means. Anyway, they offered to put a temporary ignition in which would require 2 sets of keys..1 for entry the other for starting the thing. Have not heard back. Sorry for the long post, but has anyone ever heard of such shit? Bud |
