so i ended putting my car in a ditch on Sunday and the front wheel was in about 3 ft of snow. Tried to get out by putting the gear in 4 wheel low with the diffs locked but seemed that the wheel was spinning and couldn't get myself out... if i locked the diffs, shouldn't all the wheel turn equally and thus a wheel should not spin? could it be my lock is not working properly? have used the locking diffs in the past with no problems. any insight would be appreciated
take care
sam

The CDL only distributes power between front and rear evenly, you still have open differentials.

the open diffs will transmit power to the wheel with least grip.
In this scenario, applying the brakes hard, then using minimal throttle (eg 1k rpm) with little or no variation in throttle control the wheels movement by releasing the brakes just enough to generate forward movement or if you really are totally stuck four wheel wheelspin...
