Ok quick question for you guys. So my temp guage broke. Ok I broke it when I was changing out a bulb in my instrument cluster. Summer is coming & this is a good guage to have obviously to monitor engine temp. I really want to maintain the original position of the working guage and not add another temp guage somewhere else in the cockpit. Does anyone have any experience with replacing these guages? Looks like there is some very tedius & tiny wiring behind the stock guage. Would it be worth it to get a stock guage? Or I could buy a new guage from Summit Racing for like $39.00 with a sending unit. I guess I could take an aftermarket guage w/ a white needle & 90 degree sweep apart...and make it work behind the plastic face? ideas here would be much appreciated before I start playing mad scientist. PS I'm in Denver & wouldn't actually mind having a shop do the work...if the price isn't too bad. Life is a garden - dig it.... joe |
