Gerard,
Is the info on http://members.shaw.ca/jbarge/tires.html assuming that the rig has stock suspension?

Will a rig with 3" OME need any cutting for 235/85/16?

Ho,
no fear here! What tools will I need?
Will I need 'steering stops and bump stop height'?
If so, what are they and how are they installed/adjusted?

metal cutting device. whatever you feel comfortable with. cutting discs, dremel, sawzall, whatever you have most control with.

we can discuss the other stuff after you get the tires.

I thought a lot of rover enthusiast had bad experience with $afari Gard. I need second opinion they are just in my neighborhood or else I can go to EE for my DII upgrade.

yeah thats what i meant, safari gard's 3 link system. i think i wanna run 31"x10.5" 15. What size tyre was Mike Peters running on his D1 on the rubbicon dvd and what kind of mod's did he need? How big of a lift does he have?

Cheers

Haven't seen Mike around for a while. I believe he was running 33s at that time - now 35s. He has 3" Big Blues with 2" spacers and I think a body lift also. Here you can clearly see the Big Blues:

(don't try this at home)

35s can be fit with OME suspension, 2" body lift and *some* cutting...no need to go fancy shmancy on the linking (which will fold on the front).
