SE adds the following over a S:
1) Dual sunroofs
2) Rear trailer hitch
3) 18" tires/wheels
4) Leather vs. Duragrain (vinyl) seats
5) 6 CD changer mounted underneath front passenger seat
6) Cargo area cover
7) Front mud flaps
8) Color-keyed front bumper with fog lights

If I've missed anything, this chart should cover it:

The '03 and '04 models are fairly close, with the exception that CDL is available for '04.

Thanks for the info. I've heard that all DII's are prewired for heated seats and all that is needed to get heated seating is the switches. Is this true? I think I'll go for the S. It's $26k with 11k miles.

Bill,

I've seen many Dweb postings where people have added heated seats by installing the switch. I have no personal experience with it myself (my D2 came with the Cold Climate Package).

I did a search for "heated seats" and there were some good posts on the topic.

pre-wired does not necessarily mean it comes with the heater elements. It just means the wires are there should you choose to plug in heater elemts and switches.

My personal '03 SE has the wires and heating elements. I just did the upgrade a month ago very easy and useful.

The S also does not have the body side rub-strips, and it has a different stereo system (no RDS, lower wattage). The headlamp squirters are missing, and there are no armrests. There is no wood trim, and the Alcantara inserts on the doors are replaced by cloth inserts.
The S will not be a simple heated seat install. You will have to add the elements, no question.

My S came with the cold weather package and had the heated seats. I don't think I could make it up here in the winter without them :-)

Actually, even if you need to add the elements, it's a simple install.

Yes, but it isn't just putting in the switch. That's what I meant.
