Costco in Canada is selling Optima Batteries for $116 (red) and $165 (yellow). Those prices are in CDN dollars. I think it works out to $30 off the red and $45 off the yellow and the prices were already low.

I bought two yellow today. :D

Humm! I was at Costo today (California, USA) and passed by the auto section. Didn't see any sign for sale for Optima. Was it a coupon, or store advertised sale. Must be only in Canada. Good deal for you!

Costco near my house had the red top only for 135.00 with a 30.00 mail in rebate about a month ago. Don't know if it is still there or not. I try to avoid Costco. I can't leave that place with out spending under 200.00.

Stuart:

That Red Top was on sale at Costco last week for $116 CDN, after a $30 instant rebate. It had 720 CCA. I was there today for tires, and they are no longer on sale.

As an aside, I have been trying to find some BFG All Terrains in 265/75-16 and no one seems to have them. Apparently they are back ordered throughout North America as they are the most popular aftermarket replacement tire for light trucks or something like that...

Mud Terrains are available, but I had them, and on icy highways, them things are dangerous! The all terrains seem like a much better all around tire on a daily driver in Canada, unless you run two sets of tires.

Sheldon:

I was in Costco on monday and no price tags were on the Otima batteries. No time to ask:

As for tires, in Nov I installed Toyo Open country 255/65/16 109h. A smoother riding tire than the worn xpc's. Truck feels more solid on turns and is quiter on the highway. Only time will tell. The orange paint that comes on the tread has not worn off yet. Some pic were posted back in Nov, a side front view & angle view of the tread.

Not enough snow and ice on the wet coast to have a valid opinion on winter driving.

Just missed the Rover Landers Founders Day outing, when I found the restaurant, a Half hour late the group was gone.

Now have a CB radio installed. Today is testing of the SWR etc... A little of topic...

We've have a set of those Toyo Open Country tires on one of our company trucks. They sink in the snow, wet grass, and mud in rain they are all right. We won't buy them again. BFG all-terrians, Goodyear AT/S, and Cooper all terrians have been our best all around tires. Toyo's are either to soft or to hard a compound in their truck tire line. This is just my observation and not a fact.

Costco Plug:

1. I bought a $400 pressure washer from them. It sucked so i returned it 1.5 years later for a brand new one (same one). That one also crapped out. No receipt and I returned it for cash. They just look up your account to see if you purchased it.

2. I purchased a timeclock for my business from them. The mfg, warranty was one year. I took it back after it broke at least 2 years later and exchanged it for a new one. Again no receipt!

Excellent return policy!
