Looking for ideas as where/how to discreetely and non-destructively :-) mount some aftermarket guages. Pictures anyone? Oh, and can I use my stock temperature sender to run an aftermarket digital guage? Thanks much in advance!!

Joe-
A search should reveal some ideas on this, some people have put an Autometer mini-triple gauge in the spot where your cup-holders go (on a DI, not sure about DII) , above the CDL lever. This is the setup I'm shooting for whenever I reach that portion of my to-do list-if you're cup holders were as jacked up as mine got, that space is not really in use right now so it seems like a good spot to do it.
There has also been some very clean looking installs done in the overhead areas on Discos, particularly if there's no sunroofs, from what I remember. Some people have discussed heat-forming (or would it be heat-warping) a generic pod to fit the A-pillar, but I haven't seen anything like that of yet in pictures.
There is also some console pods that mount on the dask from what I recall, but those are some $$$ I think, and finally, if you were really hardcore and had a roll cage I think Autometer has come out with a system that allows gauges to be mounted to points on the cage-but I doubt anyone has gone that far in their truck as rollcages aren't too widespread so far as I can tell.

Hope that helps, I'd do some searching for "gauges" or "autometer" in the archieves, its been discussed before...

Not sure about the digital gauge either, I was planning on going mechanical.
Hope that offers at least some ideas...
Ray
