I know I'm going to get people telling me to convert...but I am having an intermittant problem w/ my rear airbag suspension on my '99 DII. About every third time I park it the driver side airbag deflates. It will reinflate with the remote and the dash button. It will also hold air while it's runnung, but unless I drive it around, it will deflate when I shut it down again. Any ideas? |

More than likely you have a leak !! Spray some washing liquid mixed with water around the air spring and see where the air is coming from |

Check the valves by the compressor and all the fittings. I replaced the o-rings and it stopped leaking. |

Sounds like a leak, use the soapy water to determine where it is coming from, research the cost to repair... compare that to the cost of converting. Make a decision. |

Thank you all. It was the airbag. The dealer told me that by raising and lowering it in cold weather (-10F) I probably stressed it just enough to crack it. The good news is that I bought it "certified". The warranty covered EVERYTHING! Tow, rental, shop, and parts. THANK YOU LRNA! |

I am beginning to suspect that general use in colder climates, anywhere that the temp dips below freezing, can and most likely will cause issue with SLS equipped vehicles. The rear end of my DII is sagging quite nicely and it has not been raised. For free I might have the bag/s replaced, however I will probably convert. |
