What can happen if you overfill the swivel pin housing with oil?

Reason I ask is that I wanted to check the level of the oil in the SP housing, but the LR service manual I have (the Rave CD) shows a swivel pin housing with 3 plugs: a fill plug, a level plug, and a drain plug. Mine only has ONE plug located about half-way between the fill and level plug on the Rave's diagram.

If you DO fill it to the single plugs level and it's a "bad" thing, how do you go about getting the oil level to the right level? (gee, is it obvious that I DID THAT?)

Sorry, Gerard, I have a 97. On mine there is only one plug - I've searched all over that thing and can only find one.

You mention a "grease" - the Rave CD says use an oil - 80W.

Have I screwed up?

Some have switched to grease to help prevent leaks-which appear to be common-at least it was on mine (96 D1). I had mine changed to grease and have had no problems since.
I was wondering now that the swivel pin housing contains grease and not oil, is it easy to drain? How viscous is the grease and will it just slide out of the drain hole on its own?
I need to change mine soon.
Thanks
